Meet Dr. Kwiatt
Thomas Kwiatt, DDS
Over the course of three decades working in the dental profession, I have been fortunate to provide high quality dental care solutions to my patients. I truly enjoy what I do, and I feel grateful for every opportunity I have that I am able to share the benefits of a beautiful smile with others.
As a dentist, I am committed to making my patients’ dental experiences as comfortable and personalized as possible. I believe that establishing trust with my patients is every bit as important as my training and continuing education. I look forward to practicing dentistry for many years to come, and helping my patients create beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.
Education
- Bachelor of Arts degree – St. Mary’s College
- Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) – Loyola University Chicago College of Dentistry
Continuing Education
Dentistry is an ever evolving industry, and I strive to continually learn and stay current with the latest techniques and treatments in order to maintain and improve the quality of care that I provide my patients. I am an active member of several dental and professional organizations, including the:
- Seattle Study Club
- Pankey Alumni Association
- Pride Study Club
- Chicago Dental Society
- American Dental Association
- Illinois State Dental Society
Outside of the Practice
I am originally from Chicago, and still close to “home,” I have lived in the Vernon Hills area for over 30 years. My wife, Barbara, and I have been married for over 35 years. Barbara works in the practice along side of me, and I feel grateful to have her here, sharing her beautiful smile, and managing the operations of our office each day. We have two grown sons, Jim and Mike, and one grown daughter, Anne. Our oldest, Jim, lives in Wisconsin with his wife and their two children. Our son Mike and his wife live on the East Coast; and our daughter, Anne, recently moved to Texas. When I’m not at the practice, I enjoy golfing, swimming, photography, and cooking. I also enjoy spending time with my family, and seeing my grandchildren. I also love to travel, and have been to Ireland, England, France, Spain, Italy, and Mexico. I hope to visit many more countries in the years to come.
Having grown up in this area, it’s important to me that I do what I can to ensure that future generations are able to enjoy this wonderful community. I participate in several local organizations that work to serve the community, including St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and volunteering with Carmel Catholic High School. For over ten years I have also been involved with Donated Dental Services, a group of dentists who provide free dentistry and health services for community members who are unable to afford health and dental care.
